Alloy 20 Tanks
Alloy 20 is one of several exotic metals used to fabricate tanks at Buckeye Fabricating. It is a nickel- chromium-molybdenum alloy designed specifically to be resistant to sulfuric acid. Alloy 20 tanks are manufactured to ASME code and in accordance to Buckeye’s own quality standards.
In Oil & Gas, Chemical, Aerospace, and Plastics industries, Alloy 20 tanks are used for process tanks, mixing tanks, and piping, among other things. You may have heard of Alloy 20 also referred to as UNS N08020, DIN 2.4660, CN7M, Carpenter 20 CB-3TM, AL 20TM, Carlson Alloy C20TM, Nickelvac 23TM, or Nicrofer 3620 NbTM.
Key Features
Alloy 20 is highly resistant various types of corrosion, including sulphuric, phosphoric, and organic acids, as well as intergranular corrosion. It is also less likely to withstand crevice or pitting corrosion or chloride stress corrosion cracking. For applications with temperatures up to 140 Fahrenheit or velocities up to 20 fps, an Alloy 20 tank is the perfect solution.
